The Leading Light Beacon Designator

Leading lights are a navigational aid utilized in conjunction with lighthouses to assist mariners in safely navigating through channels or routes. Consisting of a pair of lights or beacons, they are strategically positioned to provide visual guidance.  When these lights are aligned, they provide a lighted route for a vessel's position and course to avoid hazards and safely navigate through waters.

Similarly, within organizations, the designation associated with leading lights serves as an emblematic recognition of their commitment to maintaining a course of action for abuse prevention and response. Just as navigational aids guide ships through treacherous waters, this designation signifies that these organizations have taken proactive measures to establish a safe environment for all individuals involved. It showcases their dedication to implementing robust policies, comprehensive training programs, and effective reporting mechanisms to protect against abuse.
